Abstract

Non-muscle invasive bladder tumors, especially high-risk group, have a high predilection for the developing muscle invasion and metastasis. This group has been defined as bladder cancers with multiple T1 G2, Ta/T1 G3, carcinoma in situ characteristics. EAUguideline recommended the stratification of patients to low, intermediate and high-risk groups for recurrence and progression using numbers and size of tumors, recurrence rate, T stage, CIS, and grade. When the initial resection is incomplete or when a high-grade or T1 tumor is detected, a second TUR should be considered. We should have close follow-up scheme to predict high-risk group to progress to invasive or metastatic disease and to decrease the mortality associated with bladder tumors.
